William "Bill" Charles Finley age 60, of Collins, Ohio died Thursday January 12, 2012 in University of Toledo Medical Center after a recent illness, but after a long battle with PKD. Bill was born in Sandusky on January 28, 1951. He was a 1969 graduate of Western Reserve High School where he participated in track and field and football. After graduation he played softball and had a great passion for bowling. He has lived in Norwalk, Ashland, Collins as well as summers on the Great Lake Erie at Catawba Island. He has worked in HVC and most recent years followed his passion of fishing as a charter captain. He loved hunting with his 5 brothers, fishing with his wife, the great outdoors and putting fish fries on when the Ohio State Buckeyes were in a bowl game. He will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humor, his passion for the outdoor life and his dedication to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Vikki (Scott) of Ashland, daughters, Chrindye Finley-Dietz(Craig) of Avon, OH, Sharlee Finley of Chicago, IL, and step daughter, Jodi Willet (Jimmy), of Ashland, grandsons, Aiden, Ashton and Greyson Dietz of Avon, Bryan and Baily of Ashland, Brothers Larry(Lainey), Dan(Candy), Dave(Chris), and Paul(Michelle) Finley all of Collins, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and his cat Squeak.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret and James Finley, brother Jim and his wife Elaine Finley of Collins.
Memorial Service to be held on Monday January 16 at 1:00 pm at the Collins United Methodist Church, 4290 Hartland Center Road Collins, Ohio 44826
