Carolyn A. Deichler (nee Plue), age 75, of Florence, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2012. She was born on March 11, 1936 in Norwalk and has lived in Florence Township for 46 years. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul High School. She was a devoted member of Florence Congregational Church, serving on the Diaconate, secretary of the church, and treasurer of their Evening Circle group.
She was a loving daycare provider for all of her grandchildren. She loved attending her grandchildren's activities.
She is survived by her children Lisa (Doug) King, of Wakeman, Sandy (Scott) Miller, of Wakeman, Rodney (Michelle) Deichler, of Berlin Heights, sisters, Eileen (Harry) Stoddard, of Norwalk, Joan (David) Service, of Norwalk, Janet (John) Nebergall, of New London, brother Ken (Diann) Plue, of Punta Gorda, FL, grandchildren, Matt and Nick Deichler, Nathan and Jenna King, Samantha, Joel, Aaron, Tyler Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Pete" Deichler, parents Harold and Catherine (Ackerman) Plue, a granddaughter Monica King, sister Mary Herner, brothers Karl and Art Plue.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 22, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Services will be held on Monday January 23 at 11:00 am at the Florence Congregational Church, 11805 St. Rt. 113, Berlin Heights. Burial will follow at Cable Road Cemetery.
