Harry G. Cain Sr., age 73, of Elyria, died Wednesday May 30, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on October 27, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio and had lived in Norwalk for many years, having recently moved to Elyria. He worked at Lichstein's in Norwalk and was a self-employed mechanic. He loved NASCAR racing and building models.
He is survived by wife of 40 years Sharon (McAuliff), his children Harry (Dorothy) Cain Jr., of Springfield, MO, Tina (Kenneth) Bailey, of Wakeman, Jeremy (Tina) Cain, of Norwalk, Joseph Cain, of Norwalk, Jonathon Cain, of Norwalk, Jacob (Sarah) Cain, of Elyria, a sister Blanche (Don) Hovis, and a brother Lawrence Cain Jr., both of Delaware, Ohio, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Garnet (White) Cain Sr., his first wife Ruthann (Coakley) Cain, and a son Michael.
Friends may call on Saturday from 4:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Rev. Travis Bailey will be officiating.
