Bernard "Bernie" Thomas, age 63, of Birmingham, died on August 10, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on September 10, 1950 in Norwalk, and had lived in the Birmingham area for over 40 years. He served in the US Army. He had worked in maintenance at M.A. Harrison for almost 30 years. He enjoyed doing yard work, and driving old cars.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Wanda (Walton), his children Christopher (Crystal), of Birmingham, Gregory, of Birmingham, two grandchildren Brooklyn and Christopher, sister Sandy Thomas, of Wakeman, brother Ed (Michele), of Wakeman, a sister-in-law Barbara, of Clyde, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Rita (Horn) Thomas, and a brother Robert.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday August 16 at 11:00 am at the Wakeman Cemetery.
